The Shorter Catechism asks: How does Christ execute the office of a king?

It answers: Christ executes the office of a king, in subduing us to Himself, in ruling and defending us, and in restraining and conquering all His and our enemies.

Christ is King! He has and does conquer. He has conquered sin, Satan, the world, and our own hearts. All of His and our enemies will be placed under His feet. His mighty conquest has come by way of His mission carried out on the Cross. Join us for the SE FIRE Regional Conference where we will consider together some of the glorious facets of the triumphs of the Cross.

Voice of the Martyrs "Bound With Them" Conference

Speakers include:

Gracia Burnham - A militant Muslim group, the Abu Sayyaf, kidnapped Martin and Gracia Burnham, missionaries to the Philippines, on May 27, 2001. The Burnhams were in captivity for 376 days. During an eventual rescue attempt by the Philippine Army on June 7, 2002, Martin was killed and Gracia was wounded. Her story is told in the books “In the Presence of My Enemies” and “To Fly Again.”

Bob Fu, founder of China Aid Association (CAA), was raised in mainland China and was a leader of the student democracy movement. In 1992 Bob became the pastor of a house church. Four years later he and his wife were imprisoned. After fleeing to the United States, Bob Fu began CAA to draw international attention to China’s human rights violations against house church Christians.

Getaneh Getaneh is a gentle man whose radiant face belies the horrors he experienced during the red terror of the Mengistu regime in Ethiopia. Arrested by the Communist authorities for preaching, he was tortured, denied food, water, and sleep for days during his imprisonment. He eventually escaped prison and fled the country.

Darcie Gill has been on staff with The Voice of the Martyrs for over 10 years. She has met with and served our persecuted brothers and sisters in Pakistan, Sudan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cuba, India, Myanmar, Laos, Bangladesh, China, Colombia and many other countries.
