Centre Daily Times Clergy Column for July 17th, 2010
Why we can't all just get along.
Every week throughout the year, various spiritual-type people from every conceivable stripe are invited to write an article for the Clergy Column in The Centre Daily Times, our local newspaper. Apparently, it is largely ignored. Or maybe it's just me who is largely ignored. Over the few years I've been writing, I have received very little feedback from anyone beyond a few obligatory "I read your column and it was nice" comments. However, this particular installment garnered a phone call from a local motel. The man on the line said he was passing through town, was reading the paper, and it was good to see someone tell the truth for a change. Made my day. Feel free to comment. Positive responses are particularly welcome (naturally), but thoughtful, negative ones will by no means be dismissed. Thoughtful is good.
