Homophobes! To the Furnace!

According to the state of Arizona, Christians with convictions concerning the immorality of homosexual behavior are subject to punishment by law because homosexual discrimination is THE great evil upon which everyone can now agree. The elimination of "homophobia" is a greater good than the defense of an individual's biblical, God-given convictions.
Homophobes! To the Furnace!

Yes, that is correct.

This is about the rise of gay omnipotence.  It is also necessarily about the destruction of religious, or more specifically, biblical convictions.  Because apparently, the two cannot co-exist peacefully.  Homosexuals have become the new victims of prejudice and hatred and bigotry and hypocrisy, while Christians have almost exclusively become the new purveyors of said prejudice, bigotry, hatred, and rabid homophobia.

The title of this blog entry is "Homophobes! To the Furnace!".  What is being imposed upon us is a form of idolatry that is barely different than the idolatry of Nebuchadnezzar which was foisted upon the Jews in Babylon.  Three young men--only three among tens of thousands of Jews--had the courage and, shall we say, the "Christian conviction", to obey God rather than the state.  They openly and publicly refused to bow to the golden image of the king in the public square.  Anyone who did not immediately bow down and worship on cue by the blasting of the trumpets would face certain death in the fiery furnace.  Presumably this was the furnace used to make Nebuchadnezzar's image.

Of course, the account goes on to say the three young men were delivered out of the furnace by none other than the Messiah, the pre-incarnate Jesus Christ.  And the king repented of his evil, at least temporarily.

Christian brethren, are we prepared to face the furnace?  Or will we cave, become true hypocrites, deny the faith, and bow to the governmentally institutionalized and protected idolatrous religion of homosexuality?  Will we bake wedding cakes for gay couples and give passive approval to what we know God's word describes as an abomination?  Will we photograph the celebration of two men desperately attempting to convince themselves and the rest of us they can become one flesh?  Will we participate in the public destruction of the God-given institution of marriage that consists of one man and one woman only?  And will we do so simply because the state says we must?

Just so you know, according to today's article by Fox News, this is not only a Democratically inspired, liberal-agenda driven legislative move.  Republican Governor Jan Brewer vetoed a bill that would have given conscientious Christians the freedom to refuse services to homosexuals for things such as marriage ceremonies, thus respecting their religious convictions.  She was encouraged to do so by both Republican Arizona state senators, by John McCain, John Boehner, and who knows how many other Republicans.  They said, in effect, that allowing Christians (Primarily Christians.  Muslim convictions about the evil of homosexuality will never be challenged because the defenders of homosexual rights are demonstrably cowardly when it comes to dealing with the religion of peace) to stand their ground based upon deeply held biblical convictions would be bad for the economy.  It "could result in unintended and negative consequences." Read the article HERE.

I suppose those unintended and negative consequences would be far worse than coercing Christians, by law, to compromise their convictions.  In other words, beloved, we are expendable.  Homosexuals can do no wrong, while we can do no right.  If we are pro gay, we are at the very least, hypocrites according to Scripture (very not right).  If we are "homophobic", (very, VERY not right) we will be forced to pay the price for not bowing the knee to the new societal norms being stockpiled upon us by Liberals and "Conservatives" alike who have no concern whatsoever for what God has said.

It's time to go to jail, brethren.  We must decide to which altar we will bow.  Will we submit to the new state religion that defends the very thing the Bible describes numerous times without apology as "abominable"?  See Leviticus 18:22 & 22:13.  [Yes, I realize those verses are in the Old Testament.  Paul says this in the New Testament:  For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error. (Romans 1:26-27 ESV)]

Or will we bow to God?  In the final judgment, which side of this argument do we want to be on?

And I can't help but bring up the lamest excuse I have ever heard given in defense of homosexuality.  "They" say the reason God destroyed with fire from heaven the cities of Sodom and and Gomorrah was NOT because He was unable to find even ten righteous men in the entire city of Sodom (See Genesis 18:27-33).  Rather, God rained fire and brimstone upon the cities of the plain until the smoke rose from them like the smoke of a furnace (Genesis 19:23-28) because of the heinous sin of . . . "inhospitality".

That, believe it or not, is a popular apologetic given by the homosexual community for the destruction of Sodom.  NOT because all the men of the city wanted to have their way with these angelic visitors who had come to Lot's house.  NOT because there were not even ten men in the entire city whom God considered to be righteous.  No, but because Welcome Wagon had a flat tire.

If God destroyed all the cities of the plain because of the indescribably evil sinfulness of inhospitality, what hope do we have?  Surely, SURELY America is on the brink of becoming extra crispy because of the rampant inhospitable homophobia among Bible-believing Christians.  Surely our hypocrisy is such a stench in God's nostrils that we will undoubtedly need to break out our asbestos umbrellas at any moment.

No, I'm sure before God's furnace falls from heaven, we who believe what He has said about the sinfulness of homosexuality will be shown the legal furnace established by the protectors and proponents of homosexuality at the expense of our biblically informed consciences.  We are expendable.  The Great State of Arizona has said so.  We have become the new social plague that should be squelched if not eliminated.  Otherwise, it "could result in unintended and negative consequences." So get ready to board the train and go to the incinerator.

But remember, after the flames have died and the furnace has cooled, we will remain.  There we will be, standing with our incarnate "Get Out Of Jail Free" card, the Lord Jesus Christ.  Just as Shadrach, Meschach and Abed-Nego said, we must also say to the state and to the world:

“O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter.  If this be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king.  But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image (of homosexuality) that you have set up.” (Daniel 3:16-18 ESV)
