Right-Wing Fundamentalist Pro-Life-Retaliation

Just another example of how those pro-lifers are hateful and mean-spirited

This appeared in the Daily Collegian as a response to the feminist clones.

LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Woman's clinic strives for honest, balanced assistance

As the Executive Director of A Woman's Concern Pregnancy Resource Clinic, I'd like to put the community's mind at rest that we do not have a hidden agenda. Our agenda is this: to educate, encourage and empower men and women to make informed life choices. We believe it is in a man's and a woman's best interest to be well informed, particularly when they are in a crisis pregnancy. We strive to offer hope through free services such as pregnancy tests, ultrasounds and counseling about carrying a baby to term, adoption and the risks and procedures of abortion.

Our goal has always been to offer an alternative atmosphere and philosophy to other clinics. We challenge men and women to think about the choices they are about to make for their future children, and we aim to serve each person who comes through our doors with hospitality. We are thoroughly educated on the risks and procedures of abortion, and we do our best to educate those who feel that abortion is their only option. We offer resources for those who choose adoption for their child. And for those who choose to carry and parent their babies, we provide materials and assistance.

We provide post-abortion counseling for those who have had an abortion. We believe that abortion is not a choice to be made easily or without clear understanding of the risks involved. All of our medical services are overseen by a professional RN, a registered diagnostic medical sonographer ultrasound technician and an OB/GYN physician. We are accountable to Care-Net, a national organization that oversees all legal and administrative responsibilities for the clinic.

We serve men and women of all races and all religious backgrounds. And although we are eager to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all who enter our door, we don't push it on our clients or expect a conversion in exchange.
